Hello,

Welcome to this week's edition of the Wealth Writer eZine!

The week before last I decided to put myself to the
test by writing a website where I intend 'Walking The Talk'. I
have two reasons for building this new website. Firstly, I'm
constantly telling people if they want to succeed on the
Internet they must have a mailing list, and must also keep their
subscribers informed regularly.

Secondly I feel there is a need for a one stop website focused
on ALL the needs of those people wanting to write their own
eZine/Newsletter. A website where people can find all the
necessary software, hints and advice, a place where they can
discuss their problems and concerns by interacting through the
online forum with myself and other members.

Today out of curiousity I thought I would have a look at how the
site was ranked in the MSN search engine for the keywords I
used to submit the site. I have the URL links you can click on

I have included a certified Alexa traffic ranking monitor on
every page of the website so everyone can see the traffic
ranking of this new site. Last week it was 954,955. This week it
has climbed to 329,052

The thought of optimizing web pages for search engines is one
task which strikes fear into the hearts of most web masters. The
fear stems from the knowledge that once you have submitted your
pages to the search engines you have passed the point of no
return. When you click the submit button there is no un doing
what you have done.

As a webmaster search engine optimization is something you can
do yourself, you don't really need to pay hundreds of dollars to
the experts to have your pages optimized, but you do need to be
careful to get it 'Right The First Time'

Optimizing should start even before you begin writing your
pages. You should know which services or products you are going
to market on the net and you should also have a list of relevent
keywords for your service or product. Your next step should be
to go to Net Wealth Group and check your keywords with the
Overture keyword suggestion tool:

If you have had a look at the Overture keyword tool you will see
what I mean. It's pointless optimizing your pages for a word
which has been searched for 25 times during the last month when
you can possibly come up with a similar keyword which has been
searched for thousands of times.

Next if you are lucky enough to be able to include your keyword
in your domain name, thats great. If not, you should include your
keyword or search term in your title tag eg: <TITLE>keyword
here</TITLE>. The next place to include your keyword search term
is in your heading and 2 to 3 times in your first paragraph.

is definitely NOT for newbies. (If you're just getting
started, you'll probably want to read the sales letter
anyway. There are a lot of points in it that are important
for any online business person to understand.)

If you're already doing business online, even in a small way,
you want to take a good, hard look at this one. It has
EVERYTHING in it. Affiliate software, resale rights products,
viral systems, affiliate tools, code for more stuff than you
could shake a mouse at, and more "nuts and bolts" tools and
information than... well...

For the moderate to very experienced online entrepreneur,
this is the most powerful stuff I've seen for sale. Anywhere.

For those who don't know who Mark Joyner is, let's put it
this way: Mark's one of those success stories that most
people aspire to.

He started online with $400 and sold his company for $12 or
$16 million a few years later. Then he started another one
that's made millions. He's built some of the biggest
subscriber lists in the world, affiliate programs with over
300,000 affiliates, and some of the most heavily visited
sites (Top 100) on the net.

He's pretty controversial, which may be why we get along so
well. Love him or hate him, he's hugely successful.

Don't repeat your keywords too many times or once again the
search engines will see this as spam. Search engines are looking
for good relevent content, not garbled keyword enriched spam.

You should also check that all of your links are working.
Broken links stop search engine spiders from properly indexing
your web site, not to mention they are downright frustrating to
users, causing them to leave your site.

Never ever try to trick the search engines - they know all the
tricks and when you're caught, you will be penalized, search
engines can permanently remove your site from their database. I
personally am not interested in doorway pages, redirects,
keyword spam, invisible text and multiple domains that host the
same web pages.

Make sure you put some effort into building links, getting other
relevent websites to link to your web site. Google especially
places significant importance on incoming links to your site,
the more incoming links you have the better chance you have of
increasing your PR 'page ranking'

If you follow what I have said above you will find you will go a
long way towards getting a good ranking with the search engines.
Not really too scarey is it?
