Outsmarting The Scammers........

The internet it seems, must be the worlds foremost breeding
ground for every new trick and scam scheme imaginable, the
temptation is - the perceived opportunity of putting up a
web page, sending out millions of spam emails, hiding your
identity and ripping off millions of unsuspecting people -
what a wonderful opportunity for the unscrupulous merchant.
I myself have over the last couple of years fallen prey to
some of these seemingly wonderful offers. Luckily my losses
have been minimal. Maybe the old saying "if it seems too
good to be true it probably is" was written for the
internet :-)
How can you protect yourself from fraudulent internet
marketing schemes.
1) Never buy anything or enter into any agreement on any
website where you can't find any contact information.
2) Make sure the marketer has a policy or guarantee - where
you can ask for a refund if you are unhappy with the
product or service.
3) To protect yourself even further and if you don't mind
the extra time, send an email to the contact address asking
about any refund policies.
If you are an internet marketer and think you have just
discovered the latest amazing opportunity - I find the
Alexa toolbar to be a handy gauge. Using the Alexa traffic
ranking feature you can be reasonably sure the marketer
with a traffic ranking of 3.876.000 hasn't really made
millions of dollars with his wonderful offer.
